Art Teacher/Instructor for Children

AL Studio is a local art studio with 2 branches and 7 years establishment, we are looking for part time art instructor who is passionate with teaching and enjoy be around with children to join us as a team!  Work hours are mostly at afternoon,evening and weekend; Summer camp assistant art instructor is start to hiring and training at the beginning of June every year.

As a candidate, we’d like you to have:

  • An art related degree, familiarity with at least two of these art medium: chalk pastel, oil pastel, watercolor, pen, pencil, oils. Creatively follow and contribute to the studio teaching syllabus.
  • Working or volunteering experience with children. will train but preferred with 1 year experience art education to children.
  • Must consent to a nationwide criminal background check.-Preferably live locally within 10 miles of Factoria Bellevue or Kirkland

Responsibilities

  • Clean up and set up for each class/camp/party
  • Teaching with expert technique. Meet studio standard of quality and quantity requirement.
  • Organizing and manage daily attendance and students art works.
  • Basic admin knowledge, ability to communicate with customers who are student’s parents.

8 hrs -30 hrs per week,  Hourly rate due to teaching art to children experience.

Cashier/Customer Service Representative 
AL Studio are looking for an energetic, well organized cashier/Customer Service Representative who enjoy be around with children and art to join us as a team! Work location are in Kirkland downtown and Factoria Bellevue; Hours are mostly M-F 3-8:30pm and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer emails and making phone calls, about general enrollment , reschedule and follow up.Re-engaging inactive members
  • Take payments, archive, tracking payments; Input registration document online and stay organized.
  • Staying updated on promotions: Renew art display twice a month; Seasonal decoration; Seaonal poster and flyers publishing
  • Liaison between our studios, business vendors and educational institutions.
  • Help instructors to track students attendance during rush hours. Help manager scheduling staff occasionally.
  • Clean up and set up for classes/camp/party together with art instructors during rush hours.

As a candidate, we’d like you to have:

  • Have a strong customer service orientation and be able to communicate effectively with students parents, prospective clients, vendors, and team. Maintain client confidentiality.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).Possess basic math and cash handling experience. Good at Excel.
  • Art background or daycare/school working experience is a plus.
  • Must consent to a nationwide criminal background check.
